A Fly On The School Wall – What We’ve Learned While Teaching Drug Education.
Session: 3 24
Time: 1:30-2:45
Location: Academic Center 3rd floor above the library and Carsey Gallery

If you were a fly on our classroom wall, you’d hear some strange, funny stuff! For 15 years we’ve heard it all; now we’ll share it with you. Each year
schools are surprised by the drug behavior of not only their students, but their faculty and parents, be it in school, on field trips or in the privacy of
their own homes. Administrators quickly learn that they are not always prepared to deal with new situations that they confront. The guidelines,
philosophies and observations covered here will help school be proactive rather than reactive, and include important policies schools should address
before their doors open each day.

And, if you are wondering how many drugs are out there and what you should know about them we’ll teach you at:

How Many Drugs Are Out There?
Session 2 37
Time: 11:00-12:30
Location: Academic Center 3rd floor above the library and Carsey Gallery

How Many Drugs Are Out There? All drugs have an action on the human body. To understand the differences between them we put them, into
categories called classifications. This class explains the basics of what is out there in the drug world. This course will review: Illegal drugs, legal
drugs, semi-legal drugs, prescriptions drugs, OTC (over the counter drugs), caffeine (Red Bull and sports supplements), stimulants, CNS
depressants, hallucinogens, opiates, multi-phasic drugs, inhalants, and steroids.
