What Is A Webinar?
Webinar is short for Web-based seminar. A webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is transmitted over the Web. A key feature of a Webinar is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information.
A Webcast is one-way and does not allow interaction between the presenter and the audience.
We use Cisco’s Webex to create live interactive learning experiences so the participants can see the instructor, ask questions and get answers in real time.
Participants will receive course materials by e-mail prior to the seminar and will be able to view the instructor's PowerPoint slides during the seminar.
Who Should Participate?
This series of webinars is designed for faculties, students, classrooms, homeschool students, and parents.
People can join using PC, Mac, Linux, Unix, Solaris systems, and iPhone.
How Does It Work?
Using real-time desktop learning with phone conferencing, everyone sees & hears the same thing.
You will receive an e-mail inviting you to the presentation.
You do not have to subscribe to WebEx. You simply click a link in your invitation to join online, where you’ll get visual prompts to join the phone conference.
Why Do This Type Of Presentation? These types of online courses have a much higher impact than simply reading material on the web.
Webinars offer exceptional convenience and are very cost-effective. They are ideal for brown-bag lunch training because NO travel is required.
